At times high pressure close to the south will give some dry, sunnier and warmer days, but overall, we can expect further rain and scattered showers at times. For the weather for the next few days click here Friday 20/07/12 Mostly cloudy across Scotland and northern England today with some patchy light rain. Across Northern Ireland, Wales and central and southern parts of England, the day will start dry with sunny spells. Scattered showers will develop during the morning with a few heavy ones in the afternoon. Expect highs of 15 to 20C. Saturday 21/07/12 A dry day across Northern Ireland with sunny spells. The rest of the country will see some scattered shower activity to the day, but also some good, dry, sunny periods. It becomes dry for this evening and tonight. Expect highs of 17 to 20C. Sunday 22/07/12 Sunday rain spills in across Northern Ireland and Scotland. England and Wales should have a dry, sunny and pleasantly warm day. That area of rain moves down across northern England and Wales in the night. Expect maximum temperatures of 18 to 22C. Monday 23/07/12 Outbreaks of rain, heavy in places, spread south to all but the far south east of England through the course of the day. Scattered showers will follow in behind this rain across the north and the west. The rain clears the southeast tonight. Maximum temperatures of 16 to 22C. Tuesday 24/07/12 For much of the United kingdom expect some good sunny spells but a few widely scattered showers are expected today, especially in the north. Dry across all parts of the country by evening. Expect top temperatures of 16 to 21C. Wednesday 25/07/12 An area of rain will spread in across the northern half of Britain during the course of the day. Central and southern parts of England should remain dry with sunny spells. Expect highs of 17 to 22C.
